What I did
- Laid down a tarp and fitted a drain bag under the unit
- Removed the front panel and filters for washing
- Washed the evaporator coil and fan wheel with the unit on the wall
- Washed the outdoor coil, reassembled and ran a test
Result
The evaporator coil face is evenly clean across the whole panel, the blower wheel is glossy with no dust in its grooves, and the outdoor unit cover has been neatly refitted
