Electrical check and clean of a ceiling-suspended aircon in Nong Pa Khrang: outdoor unit on the roof

The ceiling-suspended unit had buildup across its front panel, louvers and filters. The outdoor unit on the roof had dust and black grime on its top cover. I opened up the outdoor unit and took electrical readings first, then cleaned the whole system.

What I did

  1. Opened the outdoor unit on the roof and took electrical readings
  2. Removed the front panel, louvers and filters of the ceiling-suspended unit
  3. Washed the outdoor unit and its grille
  4. Reassembled and ran a test

Result

The top cover and grille of the outdoor unit are clean again, and the front panel and louvers were washed until no dust was left between the slats
